Jacob Burrous
Jacob works with a variety of kids with different ages and diagnoses, as well as providing aquatic therapy at a local community pool. Jacob got his undergraduate degree from UGA (Go Dawgs) and has a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University. He likes to play soccer, run 5k obstacle courses, and catch up on popular TV shows.
Amanda Carcone
Amanda has over 20 years of experience in pediatric PT and strong experience working with infants. She’s one of the physical therapists working with the Cherokee County Babies Can’t Wait program. Amanda has a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and is originally from Upstate New York. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Louie.
Lindsy Corona
Lindsy has a degree in Exercise and Sports Science from UNC, Chapel HIll and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Medical College of Georgia. She treats children in aquatic, home, and community-based settings. Lindsy is married and has 4 kids, who keep her very busy when she’s not working, but she enjoys spending time at the lake when she has the opportunity.
Lisa Fraher
Lisa has a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mercer University and a BA in Chemistry from Emory University. Lisa provides land and aquatic-based therapy and has experience with children on the Autism Spectrum and with sensory impairments. She’s involved in pediatric PT research as an adjunct faculty member at Mercer University. In her free time, Lisa enjoys yoga, hiking, and spending time with her husband and three children.
Jeanne Green
Jeanne has over 30 years of pediatric physical therapy experience and provides physical therapy in patient’s homes, daycares, and in an aquatic setting. She is certified in the Neuro-Developmental Treatment Approach to Children and also has extensive training in infant development, Myofascial Release, kinesiotaping, sensory impairments and aquatic-based physical therapy. She lives in LaGrange and enjoys playing tennis and being outdoors.
Jen Henry
Jen has a B.S. in Biology from UGA and a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Georgia State. With an extensive background in swimming as an athlete and coach, she has a special interest in aquatic PT. She primarily treats kids in Cherokee and Cobb counties. When Jen isn’t working, she enjoys the outdoors, fitness, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three kids.
Jessica Konter
Jessica has a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and has a Masters in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia. She’s worked at Boston Children’s Hospital and Early Intervention, and still works for Children’s Healtchare of Atlanta. When she’s not working for Kool Kidz, she enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, and traveling.
Heather Kontos
Heather likes working with children of all ages in all settings, including the water. Heather is originally from Buffalo, NY and received her undergraduate degree in physical anthropology. She has a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Emory. Healthe lives in Fayetteville and has three kids; one is a high school student still at home. She enjoys hiking, swimming, Pilates, and spending time with her family.
Suzy Molesky
Suzy has been in OT for over 20 years. She’s certified in Brain Integration Therapy, and one of her special skills is increasing functional vision to combat high use of electronic devices. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, swimming and going to the gym.
Jamie Shumock
Jamie has a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Boston University. She works with kids who have developmental and sensory needs and specializes in the treatment of hand and upper extremity deficits to include splinting, casting and modalities, pediatric cardiac rehabilitation, and feeding and swallowing disorders. When Jamie’s not working with kids, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, walking outdoor trails, and listening to different types of music.
Colleen Simon
Colleen has a Bachelor’s of Science in PT from the University of Florida and has extensive experience working with all pediatric diagnoses in infants through young adults. She is most experienced with Torticollis, Hypotonia, and Gross Motor Delay. Colleen is also semi-fluent in Spanish. When she’s not working, she loves Gator sports, travel, and spending time with her family.
Beth Thaler
Beth has over 20 years experience in OT and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. She worked in both hospital and clinical settings before coming to Kool Kidz and is now part of the Babies Can’t Wait Team for Douglas County, serving the 0-36 month population. Erin lives in Douglas County with her Husband and three children. When she’s not working, she spends time with her kids (usually driving to baseball, church activities, or gymnastics), reads, and watches movies.
Anne Welch
Anne has over 40 years of clinical experience in pediatric physical therapy across a variety of settings, from infants to teens. She is NDT trained and received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from Georgia State and her DPT from A.T. Still University. When she’s not working, Anne enjoys sewing, quilting, and going on long walks with her husband and two rascally Cavalier King Charles pups.
Erin Wentz
Erin founded Kool Kidz in 1998. She has over 24 years experience in pediatric physical therapy as well as over 12 years of adult sports medicine and orthopedic experience. Erin has a strong interest in aquatic physical therapy as well as in pediatric sports medicine. She earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Southern California and a degree in Physical Therapy from Georgia State. She also has a PhD in Human Movement Science from the University of Michigan. Erin is currently a assistant professor of CHP-Physical Therapy at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY.
